Dr. Raja Venkatesh, a diabetologist by profession, is associated with HUT and other nonprofits since 1998. After graduating from a medical school in Chennai, inspired by his parentu2019s work, he started his volunteerism with rural health in the villages around Trichy. He has conducted more than 500 health camps. As a member of the International AIDS Society and a trained HIV physician, he has volunteered with Red Cross in Chennai. He has been a trainer for Government teachers in the HIV orientation program and coordinated numerous Lions club eye, vaccination, and cancer screening camps.

He has presented in international conferences, including but not limited to - International conference on north-south partnerships, Montreal, Canada; Power paradox in north-south partnerships in International AIDS conference, Toronto; and at the annual Water-AID conference, UK at Tamil Nadu.
